Veggie burger recipe or veg burger recipe- McDonald style veg burger with spicy veggie patty, mayonnaise and onion tomato salad. Easy vegetarian burger recipe from scratch with homemade burger buns!

Veggie burger recipe or veg burger recipe with step by step photos. Today I am sharing an easy recipe for veggie burger with the homemade hamburger buns we made yesterday. As I mentioned yesterday this veggie burger recipe was requested by readers. They had requested for McDonald style veg burger recipe, though I have never eaten one I have seen veggie burger from McDonald’s few times whenmy friends had them.We at home do not prefer to buy vegetable burgers from any food chains and pizzas from pizzerias. We prefer to bake pizzas at home and make potato wedgesor any junk food at home, at least to make it hygienic :).

I made this veggie burger recipe based on two recipes. One shared by my friend and another is this Tarla dalal’s veg burger recipe, but simplified it. The source recipes calls for a mayonnaise salad but I just used my homemade eggless mayonnaise and added cabbage leaves, tomato slices and onions as toppings. We are not a big fan of mayonnaise in burger, so I have added very little, you can add as much mayo as you like in your veggie burger. Next change is I have added sauteed onions in the veg patties recipe.

This is my first attempt to make veggie burger recipe at home and I really loved the way it turned out. I definitely did not except the veg burger to be this good, other than hamburger buns made with flour, there is nothing to feel bad about in this veg burger. Here after I will make burger buns with wheat flour to make this veg burger a wholesome and healthy snack.

I have used my veg cutlet recipe base to make veggie patties. You can use this beetroot tikki, aloo tikki or even paneer tikki as patty for veg burgers. To make it more Indian style you try aloo tikki burger recipe.

To make veggie burger recipe at home, we first need to bake the burger buns or keep the store bought buns ready. Next step is prepare the veggie patties. To make work simple you can prepare the buns one day ahead or use store bought buns and shape the patties few hours before along with any other cooking. You can fry the patties and arrange the burger just before serving.

Veg burger should be served as soon as assembling else the fresh veggies and patty may turn soggy. Serve veg burger with some french fries or wedges.
